Today I was on a trip in Kamakura, about 50 km from the place where I'm staying in Tokyo. It is hard to say at what distance from Tokyo it is, because I could not say where the capital cit ends.
Kamakura is a beautiful place and looks exactly as I imagined. This small city with low buildings was in the time of the Ashikaga shogunate (14th-16th centuries) the capital from which the military commanders ruled the country. Contrary to the military character of these times, today is mainly visited here temples, shops and the beach, but if you have a little effort to climb a hundred and fifty stone steps, you can also admire Fuji Mountain.
See for yourself :)
